Counting the Omer
Day 21 — God is Self-Existent

God does not need you to sustain Him.
He is not waiting for you to hold everything together.

He is the One holding you.

The “I AM” is steady, present, and near—
not because He must be,
but because He chooses to be.

✨
Bring your striving, your pressure, your weariness today.
You are not the source.
You are the one being sustained.

Day 20 — God is Just

In a world where so much feels unfair,
God remains steady.

He does not overlook injustice.
He does not forget the oppressed.
He does not act without mercy.

His justice is holy.
His justice is trustworthy.
His justice will prevail.

🌼
Pause today and bring before Him what feels unresolved.
He sees. He knows. He will act.

Counting the Omer - Day 19 — God’s Jealousy — Go Counting the Omer - Day 19
— God’s Jealousy —

God’s jealousy is not like human jealousy.

It is not insecurity.
It is not envy.
It is not fear of losing power.

God’s jealousy flows from covenant love.

Scripture reveals a God who is deeply committed to His relationship with His people — a love that is faithful, protective, and devoted. His jealousy is the expression of a holy love that refuses to abandon what is precious.

Just as a loving spouse guards the covenant bond, God guards the relationship He has established with His people. His jealousy is not possessiveness — it is passion rooted in love.

The Hebrew word qanna (קַנָּא) reveals a beautiful truth:

God is “fixed” upon His people.

His love is not casual.
His commitment is not temporary.
He does not withdraw when we struggle.
He does not loosen His care when we wander.
His zeal protects relationship.
His love preserves covenant.
His heart remains turned toward His people.

God’s jealousy reminds us that we are deeply wanted by Him.

  We are not easily replaced.
  We are not lightly forgotten.
We are loved with a steadfast, covenant devotion.

Today, rest in the truth that God’s love is not indifferent —
it is attentive, faithful, and fiercely committed to your good.

Counting the Omer - Day 18 God’s Infinity We liv Counting the Omer - Day 18
God’s Infinity

We live within limits:

  Time has edges.
  Energy has boundaries.
  Understanding has ceilings.

But God does not.

He is not confined by beginning or ending, distance or dimension.

His wisdom has no horizon.
His presence has no border.
His love has no measurable end.

Scripture reminds us that His understanding is infinite (Psalm 147:5).

The God who created space is not contained by space.
The God who created time is not limited by time.

Because God is infinite:

His mercy does not run out.

  His faithfulness does not diminish.

  His presence does not fade.

  His promises do not expire.

Even when our perspective feels small,
our lives are held within His vastness.

There is nowhere you can go where He is not already present.
There is nothing you face that exceeds His wisdom.
There is no need so great that His love cannot reach it.
The infinite God is also the near God.

You are fully seen
fully held
fully loved

within His endless care.

When we don't understand the world around us - the When we don't understand the world around us - the events, the unrest, the overall sense of fear, anger, and discontent...it is good to remember that neither can we understand God. It is the epitome of pride to somehow believe we can ascertain and even judge whether God is doing things rightly or wrongly! But yet in our confusion and discontent, that is what our thoughts/feelings are implying.

Instead, let's let these powerful feelings be invitations to get to know God better, even if we cannot know Him completely...

🌿We can know God truly, even when we cannot know Him fully.🌿

Counting the Omer - Day 17
God is Incomprehensible/Inscrutable

God is both near and beyond us.

He invites us to truly know Him, yet His fullness will always exceed our understanding.

His wisdom is deeper than the oceans, His ways higher than our thoughts, and His nature beyond the limits of human language.

We are comforted that we do not need to understand everything in order to trust Him. The mystery of God does not distance us from Him; it draws us into reverence, humility, and wonder.

The God who cannot be fully comprehended has still chosen to be personally known. He reveals Himself faithfully, wisely, and lovingly — giving us what we need for life and relationship, even when His purposes remain beyond our sight.

These days, our hearts long for justice...this is These days, our hearts long for justice...this is proof that we are made in God's image! But we don't always get justice in the ways we want...it is good to remember at those times that God is impartial, and He knows exactly what is needed in each situation...

Counting the Omer - Day 16
God’s Impartiality

God does not measure worth the way the world does.

He is not influenced by status, appearance, achievement, or position.

He sees the heart.

His love is not limited to a select few.
His mercy is not reserved for the strong.
His attention is not drawn only to the visible.

He does not compare one life to another.

Scripture reminds us that God does not show partiality.

His justice is steady.
His compassion is consistent.
His invitation is open.

Before Him, every person stands equally seen, equally known, equally invited into grace.

Because God is impartial, we are freed from comparison.

We do not need to prove our worth.
We do not need to compete for His attention.
We do not need to fear being overlooked.

We are already fully seen.

His impartial love teaches us to extend dignity, humility, and compassion toward others.

Counting the Omer - Day 14 God's Holiness Holine Counting the Omer - Day 14
God's Holiness

Holiness is such a misunderstood attribute of God - and those of us who are recovering perfectionists, striving to do things in our own power, the TRUTH of His holiness is so freeing and filling! Enjoy todays reflection...

Reflection

God’s holiness is the radiant beauty of His perfect nature. Holiness does not merely describe separation from sin — it describes the fullness of all that God is: pure, whole, life-giving, and completely aligned with truth and love. His holiness is the harmony of all His attributes working together in perfection. His mercy is holy mercy, His love is holy love, His wisdom is holy wisdom.

Scripture declares God as “Holy, Holy, Holy”, emphasizing the completeness and uniqueness of His being. His holiness is not distant or cold; it is both majestic and compassionate. The Holy One also draws near to the humble and contrite (Isaiah 57:15). His holiness does not push us away — it invites transformation, restoring what is broken and bringing our hearts back into alignment with His life.

Because God is holy, He also makes a way for us to participate in His holiness. Through His presence, His Spirit, and His grace, we are gently formed into people who reflect His character. Holiness is not striving for perfection in our own strength; it is responding to His invitation to live set apart in love, humility, and devotion.

Day 13 – Reflection on God’s Goodness

God’s goodness is not dependent upon circumstance, emotion, or visible outcome. His goodness flows from His character, not from changing conditions. Scripture reminds us that “God is good and He does good” (Psalm 119:68). His goodness is steady, generous, and life-giving — an expression of His mercy, kindness, righteousness, and love working together for the flourishing of His creation.

At times, we may struggle to reconcile God’s goodness with the realities of suffering or uncertainty. Yet the testimony of Scripture consistently affirms that His goodness remains constant even when life feels unclear. The goodness of God is not fragile; it is enduring. It sustains hope, strengthens trust, and reminds us that His heart toward us is compassionate and faithful. We may not always understand His ways, but we are continually invited to trust His goodness.

God’s goodness is not only something we believe; it is something we are invited to experience. “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8). His goodness nourishes the soul, restores courage, and reminds us that even in difficulty, His kindness is still at work.
