Faith – Eternal Word Mixed Media Original Art
This is my second piece in the “Eternal Words” series. The original went to my friend who is strong in the gift of faith…she saw it and “knew” it was for her! The words from scripture under the text of “Faith” are from Hebrews 11:1 and say “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen…” Collaged text is exposed, as if it is “the thing hoped for” coming into reality. This time, as I painted I watched for the cross to come forth – and I discovered the evidence of three! I encouraged the turquoise one a little more than the others – all three speaking a silent witness, asking “will you have faith in Him, or consider Him as just another deranged criminal?” {What I imagine each of the three crosses at Jesus’ crucifixion represent}
